Mandatory registration of diploma theses

From the winter semester of academic year 2023/2024 ALL students are obliged to register the diploma thesis main title and diploma thesis Supervisor by electronic application in SharePoint:

This application is the electronic equivalent of - so far used- "paper" form. This form is required to verify the compatibility of thesis context with the study speciality. Students, who had submitted the "paper" version in the Division, are asked to make the registration through the electronic system too. 

Registration of the diploma title in the above form is in depended of the obligation to register diploma thesis and diploma seminar in USOS system (here student declares only the intention of preparing the diploma thesis and he/she indicates the Division in which the diploma thesis will be completed). 

The lack of main title registration by the above form (and its confirmation by the Supervisor and the Speciality tutor) will result in a decision by the Dean not to admit to the diploma exam.

Terms of the diploma exams during the calendar year

In February – the diploma exams are organized only for students, who are completing the 1^st cycle studies, Bachelor programme, and who want to continue the studies on the 2^nd cycle starting from the summer semester. The students of the 2^nd cycle studies, Master programme, are also allowed to have the defence exam if they are going to continue the education on the 3^rd cycle studies, PhD,  and if they submit the documents confirming their plans. The foreigners, whose visa expires in the end of February can also have the defence exam in February. The detailed schedule of the exams will be published after December 15.

In March – after the winter semester, every student, who is ready can take the defence exam. The detailed schedule of the exams will be published in the end of January.

In June – this term is available for students, who have the 3 months prolongation for submitting the diploma thesis and for those, who have completed the whole study programme. The detailed schedule of the exams will be published in the end of April.

In September - the diploma exams are organized only for students, who are completing the 1^st cycle studies, Bachelor programme, and who want to continue the studies on the 2^nd cycle starting from the winter semester. The students from 2^nd cycle studies, Master programme, are also allowed to have the defence exam if they are going to continue the education on the 3^rd cycle studies, PhD, and if they submit the documents confirming their plans. In October – after the summer semester, every student, who is ready can take the defence exam. The detailed schedule of the exams will be published in the end of August.

In December – this term is available for students, who have the 3 months prolongation for submitting the diploma thesis and for those, who have completed the whole study programme. The detailed schedule of the exams will be published in the middle of November.
