System dynamics approach (SDA) is aimed at understanding the nonlinear behaviour of complex systems in time based on discrete, continuous and mixed mathematical models with feedbacks and time delays. During the last decades SDA showed its importance in integrated management of water and energy resources, economics, healthcare, construction safety, unmanned transportation, and many others. SDA is based on the use of computer models and big data analysis. In the presentation the key components of SDA and exampls of the modeling will be given.
