Abstract: The increasing use of delivery drones offers faster, more economical package transportation, particularly in hard-to-reach areas. However, current drone models, mainly designed for long-range and last-mile delivery, face challenges such as safety concerns due to unshielded propellers, limited adaptability for different parcel sizes, and poor user-friendliness. These drones struggle in urban and remote environments, and their large size makes storage, portability, and operation by untrained users difficult. Dr Przemyslaw Kornatwoski will present during the upcoming seminar how he is addressing these issues in his research, focusing on improving safety and adaptability for efficient, person-to-person drone delivery.
